CLEXOPBS-FELT consists of a center core of hessian adequately coated on both sides with oxidized Bituminous compound. The coatant i.e. the mixture of Bitumen as specified by I.S. specifications is uniformly applied. The resultant Coated Felt shall be given a superficial application of mineral powder to prevent the layer of the coated felt sticking together in the roll. Mica / sand is then spread over on both faces to prevent intersticking of layers. This also gives useful protection against the effects of the sun and when laid on roofs, does not need further treatment.
