USES Ideal waterproofing system for concrete roofs, polyurethane foam slabs, polyester built up roofs, maintenance of existing roofs, masonry and concrete walls, bathrooms, basements, bridges, decks, metal surfaces etc. Used as a sandwich membrane in new construction and as surface treatment on existing slabs OUTSTANDING FEATURES STARPROOF WF-MB-602 is a highly elastic product, and cures to a rubber like membrane capable of withstanding severe cases of expansion, contraction and deck movements. Highly resistant to oxidation, UV light and ozone because of unique additives used in compounding it. It does not crack. More durable than normal asphalt coating and lasts longer than most other coatings. Superior wetting and adhesion properties ensure durable bond and resistance to peeling, chipping, and/or separation and a longer life. Has the unique property of adapting itself over the irregular contours of the deck and forming a waterproof and impervious blanket. Single component, cold applied requiring no mixing or heating; saves labor costs. PACKING STARPROOF WF-MB-602 is available in 20 kg Pail.SURFACE PREPARATION The surface must be thoroughly cleaned and should be free of dirt, gravel, dust and oil. The concrete should be dry and smooth. When applying directly over concrete or old, dry asphalt, prime first with primer coat. When using as a top coat to protect and rejuvenate existing smooth asphalt roofs, first repair all blisters, cracks, split seams and flashing. PRIMER: For priming, primer coat of STARPROOF WF-MB-602 is applied on prepared surface. For primer coat use STARPROOF WF-MB-602 diluted with water in ratio of 1:2 FIRST AND SUCCEEDING COAT The coating is applied straight by using standard roofing brooms, brushes, squeegees or airless spray equipment, please check the viscosity to insure smooth spray of the product. Allow full curing of coating, (8 – 10 hours) before applying succeeding coats. For better results use Glass Fibre Reinforcement embedded into 1 st Coat while it is still wet. To make the material more workable dilution with water upto 20% for 1st coat & upto 10% for 2nd coat is allowable COVERAGE Approximate coverage of STARPROOF WF-MB-602 for a 2 coat application is around 20-25 sq. ft / kg in Metals ; 15-20 sq. ft / kg in Asbestos & 13-17 sq. ft in Concrete depending on surface porosities. DFT of approx 200-300 microns will be achieved in 2 coats. STORAGE & SHELF LIFE Shelf life is 12 months in unopened container. Store away from sunlight and preferably below 30oC. Storage should be frost protected. CLEANING Tools: Clean all the tools immediately with water. Use of thinner may be necessary for dried up material. Due to its white color, it offers excellent UV Resistance & Solar reflectivity. Gives cooling effect due to the reflective properties. PRIN CIPAL APPLICA TION Waterproofing for roofs ranging from asphalt, asbestos, cement to concrete and terrazzo tiles. Recommended for both horizontal and inclined structures. Waterproofing of roof slabs, terraces, balconies, sun shades, parapet walls, etc. Provides additional waterproofing and protection when used as base or intermediate coat in brickbat coba / IPS flooring. Waterproofing of new as well as old surfaces Waterproofing membrane for FLAT ROOFING SYSTEMS (Traditional and Inversed) SUBSTRATE S Nature of substrates: STARPROOF WF-SP-600 waterproof membranes can be applied not only to concrete but also to wood and metal surfaces. With the latter a special primer is necessary. Roof Pitches: The membrane can be applied for all roofs to any extent of slope. Condition of substrate: Concrete and cementitious substrate are to be well compacted and at least 28 days old, with toweled finish. Wood panels or metal sheeting should be solidly fixed and cleaned. All surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dust or rust and oil residue. COV ERA GE Coverage depends upon the nature of the surface to be applied. But on average, smooth surface will give approx 30 sq ft per kg (First Coat) & 27 sq ft per kg (Second coat). Two coats of the product will give 300 microns dft. IMPORTANT PREC AU TIONS Asphalt roof surfaces to be coated with STARPROOF WF-SP-600 must be at least one year old and load bearing. Application when rain threatens should be avoided for all substrates. The application at temperatures below 5oC will result particularly in case of thick coats, incomplete film formation and consequent reduced elasticity of the film as well as the possibility of formation of cracks in the coating. Low temperatures and high atmospheric humidity (such as fog) will slow down curing rate, and vice versa. STARPROOF WF-SP-600 membranes are resistant to the abrasion or light pedestrian traffic. However, they can be damaged by heavy traffic, high heeled shoes and furniture, and thus should be protected by tiles, slabs, etc. in such cases. METHOD OF A PPLI CA TION * WATERPROOFING CONVENTIONAL ROOFS Asphalt surfaces: Old asphalt surfaces and asphalt roofing felt after cleaning must be primed with STARPROOF WF-SP-600 diluted 1:2 with sweet water. This would strengthen the weathered surfaces. Blisters in asphalt roofing felt must be cut open cross wise, dried and bonded with suitable adhesive. After complete drying of the primer and bonded areas, STARPROOF WF-SP-600 is applied with brush, roller or spray gun. A brush with horse hair bristles will provide almost texture-free, smooth surfaces. Dilution upto 20% for 1st coat and 10% for 2nd coat is allowable. For spraying, STARPROOF WF-SP-600 may be diluted with a little water. Higher dilution would lead to sedimentation and blocking of spray gun. * Terrazzo Tile Roofs: Damaged or washed-out joints should be cleaned and repaired or re-grouted. After thorough cleaning to remove all loose material, prime the entire surface with STARPROOF WF-SP-600 diluted 1:2 with sweet water. After the primer coat is completely dried, make two coats of STARPROOF WF-SP-600 as previously described.

A Joint Sealing Compound must display good adhesion towards concrete and have the ability to withstand extension without cracking. It must also have a low susceptibility to flow during hot weather conditions. It should be durable and plastic, and at the time offer resistance to ingress of solid foreign matter. The filling up of joints with expansion joint filler itself is not enough to prevent the ingress of water. The top surface of the joints-construction, dummy as well as expansion joints are sealed with material which is waterproof as well as weather resistant.
It has two grades such as CLEXODAM-SEAL GRADE-A & CLEXODAM-SEAL GRADE-B.
The joint compound is heated to temperature which will permit easy pouring into the expansion joint above the joint filler.
